Undergraduate Students
- Many Loyola undergraduate students collaborate on research in the CAN lab with other undergraduate and graduate students and Drs. Morrison and Silton.
- Interest in working in the lab is very high and preference is given to students interested in pursuing research careers in psychology or neuroscience and those enrolled in the interdisciplinary neuroscience minor.
- To participate in the CAN Lab you must have and maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, and be willing to commit at least 10 hours a week for two to three academic years.
- Students are also expected to be enrolled for independent study course credit each semester (e.g., Psyc 369/370, 397, 399; Neurosci 302, etc.) the work in the lab.
- Most students apply for (and frequently receive) funding for their research (e.g., Carbon Fellowship, Johnson Scholarship, Mulcahy Scholarship, Provost Scholarship, WISER Program, or other extramural funding).
- We typically recruit students during the summer, preferably before their sophomore year. If you are interested in seeing how you might be involved please click here!
